Itinerary and highlights

The drive from Walvis Bay to Pelican Point Peninsula is typically a scenic 4x4 excursion.
You will be driven by 4x4 vehicle along the Walvis Bay Lagoon and salt mines, where you can view pink salt lakes, passing by wildlife like flamingos and pelicans.
The drive takes about an hour, with stops for photos and wildlife viewing.
Upon reaching the Pelican Point Light house, you'll be greeted by thousands of Cape Fur Seals.
Some time will be spent at an isolated beach where there is an abundance of birdlife.
Snacks and drinks will be served at Pelican point.

Meeting and pickup information

  • Drive to the waterfront area, past Walvis Bay Yacht Club, proceeding to drive past the waterfront restaurants, through a gate. Here they will see the marina with yachts, Once through the gate, proceed to find parking, I will meet them with a sign with their names on at this point.
  • Please note that pickups need to be arranged before hand. Free pick ups will only be for Walvis Bay Area.
